To be human means we all face challenges in life. At times you can be overwhelmed by difficulties related to relationships and family, career, or health. Perhaps you feel stuck in life and don’t know how to change or move forward. Many of us have endured pain and obstacles in childhood that continue to affect our ways of being as adults. While the strategies we built in childhood helped us survive then, they often do not serve the adults we are now.
There is no single right answer to the questions of life, but the wrong answers can sometimes lead us to anxiety, depression, or a loss of purpose.
How do you know if you would benefit from therapy? A simple question would be “are you satisfied or happy with yourself or your life?” A happy life is not without sadness or challenges, but it does have meaning and purpose. I work with individuals to explore the issues they would like to address. I believe people have unique gifts to offer. From my training in spiritual psychotherapy, I draw on spiritual and psychological dimensions that can lead to healing and growth. I provide a supportive space where you have the safety to explore your own inner wisdom, heal the wounded parts and find your own best answers for your life. The goal in therapy can be to uncover the unconscious limiting beliefs, emotions and/or trauma so the client can heal and be restored to a sense of well-being, harmony, and resilience. The result is a sense of feeling at home in your own skin.
I have worked with adults to address issues such as anxiety and depression, stress, self-esteem issues, grieving losses, navigating change, narcissistic wounding, boundaries, and trauma.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and, in addition to my training in Spiritual Psychotherapy, I have training in trauma treatment. My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems. I use a holistic approach to therapy because I believe that what happens to us in life affects the whole person- mind, body, emotions, and spirit. As I consider the therapeutic relationship a co-created partnership between therapist and client, I offer a complimentary 30-minute phone consult to help assess if we would be a good fit to work together.
I currently provide therapy for adults online but will have the ability to provide in-person sessions in future.
